Skillful Nigerian Winger Likened To Demarai Gray Agrees New Deal With Fulham
Published: May 05, 2020
Skillful Nigeria-eligible winger tipped for big things, Michael Olakigbe has agreed a new deal with Championship promotion hopefuls Fulham ahead of the 2020-2021 season, allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report.
One of the most talented teenagers at the Fulham Academy in recent years, the Anglo-Nigerian starlet has been offered a two-year scholarship that will come into effect on July 1, 2020.
Although Olakigbe is classed as an U16 player, he has already debuted in the U18 Premier League, playing three games in total and scored in a 4-1 thrashing of Reading in February, before the Academy programme was curtailed as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.
The former Queens Park Rangers starlet was an unused substitute for the U23 team in a 2-0 loss to Stoke City in January 2020.
A pacy winger with elegant dribbling skills, Olakigbe has drawn comparisons with Leicester City star Demarai Gray.
Olakigbe is a product of grassroots club based in East and South London, East Soccer Base Academy.
