Queens Park Rangers, Coventry City Interested In N1.28B-Rated Chelsea Striker Ugbo
English Football League clubs Queens Park Rangers and Coventry City are interested in signing Nigerian starlet Ike Ugbo in the upcoming transfer window, according to the online edition of The Sun UK.

The news that Ugbo is wanted by the Hoops and Sky Blues won't come as a surprise as he had an outstanding season with Dutch club Roda JC, for whom he scored 13 goals in 28 league matches and produced three assists.

It has been suggested that Queens Park Rangers are looking at signing the 21-year-old for a fee of £2.5 million (approximately N1.28 billion in Nigerian currency), though he is surprisingly valued at 400,000 euros by Transfermarkt.

One of the most exciting prospects to be produced by the Chelsea Academy in recent years, Ugbo will enter the final twelve months of contract with The Blues in July 2020.

With his loan deal at Roda set to officially come to an end next month, the striker returning to Chelsea for next season is not feasible because he is below the pecking order of first team strikers and he's a cut above the youth team players.

Ugbo previously spent time on loan at Barnsley, MK Dons and Scunthorpe United but his loan spell at Roda would go down as his most successful in terms of playing time and goals scored.

He has been on the books of Chelsea since the age of nine.
