'He Is Very Strong' - Former Liverpool Midfielder Urges Juventus To Sign Super Eagles Striker
Published: May 15, 2020
Former Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko has recommended that one of his former clubs, Juventus should make a move for Victor Osimhen in the summer transfer window.
The Nigeria international is believed to be on the radar of English Premier League, La Liga and Italian Serie A clubs following his excellent performances in the 2019-2020 season.
It has been suggested that whichever club want to sign Osimhen would have to pay more than 80 million euros or more than the transfer fee Lille received from Arsenal for Ivorian winger Nicolas Pepe, but that was before the coronavirus pandemic.
Sissoko is impressed by the qualities of the Lille number seven, noting that he offers physicality and predicted that the young striker will be a household name in the coming years.
Asked by Tuttojuve's Mirko Di Natale the other players he would recommend to Juventus, besides Todibo, Sissoko responded : "I like Victor Osimhen from Lille very much, for me this boy is very strong. He is a striker that we will talk about in the next few years.
"In midfield I could recommend his teammate Boubakary Soumare and Idrissa Doumbia, who performs well at Sporting Club de Portugal."
Kylian Mbappe (PSG), Wissam Ben Yedder (Monaco) and Moussa Dembélé scored more goals than Osimhen in the French Ligue 1 during the 2019-2020 campaign.
