Belarusian agent Yauheni Haiduk, who handles the affairs of Nigeria U23 international Godfrey Bitok Stephen, has insisted that his client has not contracted COVID-19 amid speculation in the local media that the defender had tested positive for the virus.
Having said that, the left-back is very unlikely to taste action in Sunday afternoon's Belarusian Premier League match between Dinamo Minsk and Isloch because he is recovering from fever.
"Bitok is sick but has not contracted coronavirus, he has problems," Haiduk told allnigeriasoccer.com.
"He has fever and it's nothing special, he will not play today, I think, because he has temperature but it's not coronavirus.
"It is one hundred percent he passed two tests, they were not positive results. It is fake information he has contracted coronavirus."
Bitok has been involved in every single game played by Isloch in the Belarusian Premier League this season.
The teenage left-back was in the Dream Team VII squad to the 2019 U23 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
