SC Heerenveen Dazzler Ejuke Responds To Ajax Amsterdam, Feyenoord Links
Published: May 20, 2020
SC Heerenveen winger Chidera Ejuke has been linked with a departure from his modest Dutch club in the upcoming transfer window, with fierce rivals Ajax Amsterdam and Feyenoord credited with an interest in his services.
Feyenoord are believed to be ahead of Ajax in the race for the signature of the highly-talented winger, having made contact with the player's camp though no official bid has been tabled.
Despite the financial strain caused by the coronavirus crisis, interested clubs could be forced to shell out more than the two million euros Heerenveen paid Valerenga for the player to terminate his contract with the Norwegian club last summer.
"To be honest, of course, I love this competition," Ejuke told Fox Sports via Soccer News Netherlands.
"If an opportunity arises, then of course it depends on what the club and what I want. What the club ultimately wants will also be best for me."
Ejuke scored ten goals and made six assists for Heerenveen in his debut season in the Netherlands.
