Ideye's Agent Responds To Fenerbahce Link Amid Reports Super Eagle Demanded N1.06B
Published: May 23, 2020Brown Ideye's agent, Hootan Ahmadi has denied reports in the Turkish press that his client demanded two million euros yearly wages (N1.06 billion) before signing a contract with Super Lig side Fenerbahce.
Besiktas and Malatyaspor are the other teams in Turkey linked with a move for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner, who has roughly one month left on his contract with Aris Thessaloniki.
Ahmadi has argued that the future of the Nigeria national-teamer is still uncertain because of the coronavirus pandemic, but hopes things will be sorted out within two months.
"It simply came to our notice then. Nobody knows what will happen to the Championships and the teams have just started training," said Ahmadi to gazzetta.gr.
"We will have developments after at least a month, maybe two. At the moment, the teams are not moving much, they are evaluating their financial situation, so we are all concentrating on football but also on staying healthy. "
Former West Brom, Dynamo Kiev and Sochaux striker Ideye has scored 9 goals in 26 appearances since joining Aris in July 2019.
