Bazee, Once Tipped As Heir Apparent To Victor Moses, Reacts To Scoring First Bundesliga Goal
Augsburg winger Noah Sarenren Bazee has spoken of his happiness at scoring his first-ever goal in the German Bundesliga in Sunday's impressive 3-0 road win against Schalke 04 at the VELTINS-Arena (Gelsenkirchen).

The former Hannover 96 man has struggled with injuries in the last three years, which has stalled his career for club and country.

Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr had been searching for a winger to provide cover for his then star player, Victor Moses, ahead of the 2018 World Cup and handed a maiden call-up to Bazee for an international friendly against Senegal in London, but an injury prevented him from making his debut though he traveled to the English capital to train with the Super Eagles squad.

Since then the talented Bazee has been in the international wilderness but could be in contention for a national team recall if he stays fit.

Reacting to the win vs Schalke, Bazee told Augsburg's official website : "I think everyone saw today how much we wanted to win.

"We’ve really been growing together as a team in the past few weeks and we got our reward for that today.

"We worked hard all week after the game against Wolfsburg and it showed today with our pressing – we definitely took a step in the right direction.

"We’re all just really happy and of course so am I with my goal today."

The 23-year-old Bazee has made four appearances off the bench for Augsburg this term, logging 48 minutes.
