Douglas Idahosa, the former coach of Isaac Success at grassroots club BJ Foundation, is urging the Super Eagles striker to quit Watford in the summer transfer window.
Due to injuries and loss of form, Success has logged only 65 minutes in this season's Premier League and had to play some games for the Hornets U23s in the Professional Development League 2 to maintain his fitness.
Success was a target for some Championship clubs in the January transfer window but nothing came out of it.
"I will advise Success to leave Watford even if it is a loan, he should try and move to another club where he will get playing time. I believe he is working towards it," Idahosa told allnigeriasoccer.com.
"He should go to even a smaller team where he can use the opportunity to start playing regularly and bounce back to his best. He is still very young and still has a lot to offer."
Success was undoubtedly the star player of the Golden Eaglets squad to the 2013 U17 Africa Cup of Nations, where he won the top scorer award, and Idahosa is refusing to write off his former pupil, whom he has likened to ex-Everton striker Daniel Amokachi.
"He's a player that has a lot of strength and he's like a bull. He has a lot of potential and skills.
"He is a complete player if he decides to listen and calm down. He used to play like Daniel Amokachi," added Idahosa.
The 24-year-old Success is tied to Watford until the end of the 2022-2023 season.
