Official : Flying Eagles Defender Departs Scandinavian Giants Rosenborg For Sogndal Fotball
Published: June 14, 2020
Sogndal Fotball have reached an agreement with Scandinavian giants Rosenborg for the permanent acquisition of Nigeria U20 international Igoh Ogbu.
The 2000-born player has put pen to paper on a three-year deal with Sogndal Fotball that will see him remain at the club until December 31, 2022.
Ogbu found playing opportunities hard to come by at Rosenborg and made only one appearance in all competitions which was against Ullensaker/Kisa in the Cup in June 2019.
Having impressed while on loan at Sogndal for a portion of the 2019 season, the versatile defender has now been signed on a permanent deal.
"This is a very important signing! When I can pick up such a good player, shows me that Sogndal is an attractive club. With Igoh in place permanently, builds my squad," Sogndal manager told the club's official website.
"It is good to have such an important piece in place. Igoh is a hungry footballer with great potential and fits well into our profile. He must now develop well so that with time he will step forward."
