Confirmed : Released Wolverhampton Wanderers Striker Enobakhare Joins 12-Time Greek Champions
Published: June 20, 2020
Twelve-time Greek Super League champions AEK Athens have officially announced the signing of Bright Enobakhare.
The Nigeria U23 international, who was released by Wolverhampton Wanderers last month, has put pen to paper on a three-year contract with AEK Athens, until the end of the 2022-2023 season.
In his first words as an AEK Athens player, Enobakhare told the club's official website : "It is a great move (the transfer to AEK) and I am happy to be here.
"To be honest, I searched the internet, like YouTube, for how the team plays and trains, and I think it will fit my gameplay, so I'm happy to be here.
"I don't want to talk about myself so much, I think the stadium will 'talk' about me."
A member of the Dream Team VII squad to the 2019 U23 Africa Cup of Nations, Enobakhare spent time on loan at Kilmarnock, Coventry City and Wigan Athletic during his time with Wolves.
