England U19 international of Nigerian descent, Faustino Anjorin will not make his second Premier League appearance in Chelsea's meeting with Aston Villa this afternoon, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Anjorin has been left out of the matchday 20 in the ongoing clash between The Blues and Lions at Villa Park.
The 18-year-old has been training with the first team since clubs were given the all-clear to resume training last month and featured in the in-house friendly staged at Stamford Bridge around two weeks ago plus the friendly vs Queens Park Rangers.
Just before the coronavirus put a stop to football, Anjorin made his Premier League debut, coming on in the 71st minute to replace Willian in the 4-0 thrashing of Everton.
A player tipped for big things, he recently ended speculation about his future by signing a multi-year contract with the Blues, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2024-2025 season.
Anjorin was the top scorer for Chelsea U23s in the Premier League 2 with five goals and captained the U18s in the FA Youth Cup.
The versatile midfielder is one of three Nigeria-eligible starlets nominated for the 2020 Golden Boy award.
