Manchester City Loanee Adarabioyo Named In EFL Championship Team Of The Week
Published: June 22, 2020Manchester City loanee Tosin Adarabioyo has been named to the EFL Championship Team of the Week by football statistics website Whoscored.com.
The Nigeria-eligible center back scored his third goal of the season as Blackburn Rovers registered a 3-1 home win against Bristol City in a matchday 38 fixture on Saturday, curling a shot into the top right corner sixteen minutes into the second half.
In a 4-4-2 formation, Adarabioyo was partnered in central defence by Charlton Athletic skipper Jason Pearce.
The former England youth international registered a game high 11 clearances against Bristol City, made 2 interceptions, won 5 aerial duels and committed only one foul.
Adarabioyo attempted one shot which was on target and with the ball ending up in the back of the net, and touched the ball 52 times.
The 22-year-old, who has made 27 starts in the Championship this term, was awarded a rating of 8.11, the highest rated player that tasted action.
