Allnigeriasoccer.com's round-up of the Nigerian players that were on target for their European clubs in league and Cup matches across Europe on Wednesday, June 24.
In Finland, Aniekpeno Udoh and Usmani Sale scored in the 6th and 79th minute respectively as Kuopio Palloseura failed to advance to the semifinals of the Finnish Cup following their loss on penalties to Inter Turku.
With both teams tied at four goals apiece, the game staged at the Veritas Stadion went into a shootout that ended 5-4 in favour of the home team. Udoh netted one of KuPS' spot kicks.
FC Liefering reestablished their one-goal advantage when the 19-year-old converted a penalty kick in the 39th minute and he grabbed his second of the evening eleven minutes into the second half.
In the Norwegian top-flight, Shuaibu Lalle Ibrahim struck in the 19th minute as Mjoendalen and Viking shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw at the SR-Bank Arena (Stavanger).
It was his second goal in as many games for the club he joined from FK Haugesund less than two weeks ago.
Finally, Philip Otele opened his account in the Lithuanian A Lyga as Kauno Zalgiris claimed a 3-2 win against Zalgiris Vilnius.
The 21-year-old center forward netted the game-winning goal with two minutes remaining.
