Nigerian Striker Looking To Depart Arsenal After Failing To Agree New Contract
Nigeria-eligible striker Folarin Balogun wants out at Arsenal due to a lack of first-team opportunities, according to reports.

The Athletic says Balogun could be moving onto pastures new in the summer transfer window after failing to agree a new deal with the Gunners, with his current contract expiring at the end of next season.

The 18-year-old has yet to make his professional debut and his situation is not expected to change next season as he is  behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette,  Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Martinelli in Mikel Arteta's pecking order of strikers.

With contract talks stalling, Arsenal are prepared to cash in on Balogun rather than allowing him leave for a minimal compensation next summer.

Championship side Brentford attempted to sign the highly-rated teenager in the January transfer window but their offer was turned down by Arsenal.

The prolific attacker has scored an impressive 46 goals combined in the U18 Premier League and Premier League 2.

Balogun was an unused substitute back in September when Arsenal thrashed Nottingham Forest 5-0 in the third round of the League Cup.
