Confirmed : UEFA Youth League Star Onyedika Inks Multi-Year FC Midtjylland Contract
Published: July 01, 2020
Danish Superliga side FC Midtjylland officially announced on Wednesday morning that promising Nigerian central defender Raphael Onyedika has committed his long-term future to the club.
The new agreement between The Wolves and Onyedika sees him tied to the club until the summer of 2025.
Aged 19, he has been one of the standout players for FC Midtjylland in this season's UEFA Youth League, going the distance in all the six matches contested by the club and helping them reach the quarterfinals, where they face Ajax Amsterdam next month.
Speaking on his new deal, Onyedika told the club's official website : "I am very proud and I am also very happy.
"It was not easy to get to Denmark where the culture and not least the weather was different from what I was used to, but fortunately hard work pays off.
"The fact that the club believes in me and my potential makes me focus even more on developing both on and off the pitch."
