Everton And Tottenham Hotspur To Do Battle Over Signing Of 18-Goal Super Eagles Striker
Published: July 10, 2020Everton are the latest English Premier League club being linked with a move for Nigeria international Victor Osimhen.
Area Napoli says the Toffees and Tottenham Hotspur are on the trail of the Lille frontman as well as some unnamed Bundesliga clubs.
Napoli were thought to be in pole position to sign the best African player in the Ligue 1 who ended with 18 goals in all competitions last season but the Super Eagle is holding out for a move to the Premier League.
He has asked for more time to think about his proposed move to Gli Azzurri following his visit to Italy, where he held contract talks with Napoli chiefs.
Osimhen's manager, Osita Okolo earlier informed allnigeriasoccer.com that the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Chelsea are the clubs exploring ways to sign the Lille number.
Though the 21-year-old is under contract with Lille until the end of the 2023-2024 season, Lille have stated that he is set for the exit door in the summer transfer window.
