Official : Bournemouth Confirm Signing Of Tottenham Hotspur's Nigerian Midfielder
Published: July 23, 2020English Premier League club Bournemouth officially confirmed the signing of Nigerian central midfielder Ferdinand Okoh on Thursday, July 23.
Allnigeriasoccer.com exclusively reported more than two months ago that The Cherries have bolstered their academy ranks with the capture of Tottenham Hotspur starlet Ferdinand Okoh, who signed a two-year scholarship with effect from July 1, 2020.
Bournemouth have informed that U18 head coach Alan Connell will be working with a new intake of first-year scholars, including Okoh, next season.
Okoh was offered a deal by Bournemouth after he was scouted by head of academy recruitment Carl Robson.
"Ferdinand was released by Tottenham and we liked the look of him straightaway," manager Connell told Bournemouth's official website.
"He is a destructive central midfield player who likes to win back the ball and is also very tidy on it."
Okoh had a spell with West Ham prior to his move to Tottenham Hotspur in 2019.
