New Stoke City Signing Udanoh Resumes Pre-Season Training
Published: August 02, 2020Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Championship outfit Stoke City are on the verge of confirming the capture of former Nigeria U17 invitee Iffy Udanoh.
The tall center back earlier put pen to paper on a two-year pre-scholarship with the Potters but it was feared the offer would be withdrawn after he suffered an injury.
Stoke City have chosen to activate Udanoh's contract and his name will be on the list of new intake of Academy scholars for the 2020-2021 season when it is announced.
The 2003-born center back kicked off pre-season training with Stoke City U18s on Monday, July 27.
The Potters U18s have been undergoing socially-distanced sessions since the start of pre-season, but contact training is expected to start this week.
Iffy Udanoh's parents live in the English capital, London, so he is being accommodated by a host family provided by Stoke City.
Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers were interested in his signature before he agreed terms with Stoke City.
