Official : Yem Becomes Second Nigerian To Return To AS Trencin From KAA Gent This Summer
Reuben Yem has become the second Nigerian player to return to AS Trencin from KAA Gent in the summer transfer window, with the Slovak club taking to social media to announce his signing on Sunday, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

Two months ago, Philip Azango returned to AS Trencin for a second spell after two seasons spent in Belgium with KAA Gent after failing to tie down a regular spot at the First Division A side.

Yem was in the same boat as Azango, with the defender ending his association with Gent without a single appearance to his name, and was sent to the reserves to play for the second team.

A right back by trade, Yem left AS Trencin in the summer of 2019 with a reputation as one of the most exciting young players in the league, making 36 appearances for the two-time Slovak champions.

The 22-year-old is a product of the famous Golden Boot Soccer Academy, where the likes of Ahmed Musa, Moses Simon and Samuel Kalu had their footballing education before they were poached by European clubs.

Yem's contract with KAA Gent was supposed to run out at the end of the 2021-2022 season before both parties terminated the agreement.
