Napoli New Boy Osimhen Labelled ' Very Talented Young Man' By Blues Sporting Director
Published: August 05, 2020Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has sang the praises of his new signing Victor Osimhen, labeling the 21-year-old striker a 'very talented young man'.
The Blues finally got the deal bringing the Nigeria international to the Italian Serie A over the line last week after protracted negotiations caused by the player switching agents.
Giuntoli has stressed that there are no guarantees that his record signing from Lille would be an instant hit in such a difficult league as the Serie A.
In quotes carried by Area Napoli citing RAI'S 'Tg3 Campania', the talent spotter stated : "The purchase of Victor Osimhen? In the football world there are never any guarantees, however we try to work in the best way and we must have the right sensitivity in aiming at a boy who does not pay the price of the transition to a championship like the Italian Serie A".
Giuntoli continued : " Osimhen is a very talented young man, we know his character and from a tactical point of view he can represent a great novelty as a fast offensive summit ".
Osimhen cost Napoli 70 million euros and the former Wolfsburg attacker is set to take home 20 million euros over the duration of his contract.
