Official : TSV Hartberg Loan In Ex-Golden Eaglets Skipper Tijani From Red Bull Salzburg
Published: August 13, 2020
Former Golden Eaglets skipper Samson Tijani will be spending the entirety of the 2020-2021 season on loan at Austrian Bundesliga outfit TSV Hartberg.
The defensive midfielder inked a five-year contract with Red Bull Salzburg shortly after celebrating his 18th birthday and will continue his development at TSV Hartberg.
A product of Collins Edwin SC, Tijani was not involved in Red Bull Salzburg's first two pre-season games against Bravo and OGC Nice fueling speculation that he was not in the plans of manager Jesse Marsch for the upcoming season.
Commenting on his loan move to TSV Hartberg, Tijani told the club's official website : "I'm very happy to be here. I believe in the team and I hope that I can help the team to become even better. "
Managing Director and Sports Director Erich Korherr added: "We are delighted to be able to welcome an extraordinary talent like Samson Tijani to Hartberg.
"We look forward to this player. Thanks also to Christoph Freund from FC Red Bull Salzburg for the loan option. "
