Nwakali Resumes Pre-season Training With SD Huesca Ahead Of Potential La Liga Debut
Published: August 14, 2020
Former Arsenal startlet Kelechi Nwakali has resumed pre-season training with La Liga newcomers SD Huesca, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Nwakali was given the green light to return to the pitch after passing the usual medical examinations in the consultation of Doctor Fernando Sarasa, head of the club's medical services, at the Altoaragón Polyclinic.
The attacking midfielder is eligible to represent SD Huesca straight away in La Liga unlike last season where his debut was delayed due to difficulties he encountered in obtaining a work visa.
Nwakali still managed to make five appearances in the Segunda Division last term, helping SD Huesca win the division and gain promotion to the top-flight.
SD Huesca have arranged three confirmed pre-season friendlies against RCD Espanyol (Aug 22), Deportivo Alavés (Aug 26) and CE Sabadell (Aug 30).
The La Liga new boys will hold two workouts today, the first in the morning starting from 0930 hours, while the evening workout begins at 1830 hours.
