Official : 2.Bundesliga New Boys Eintracht Braunschweig Loan In Union Berlin's Abdullahi
Published: August 16, 2020Through a press release on their official website, German 2. Bundesliga newcomers Eintracht Braunschweig have confirmed the signing of former Flying Eagles striker Suleiman Abdullahi from Union Berlin.
The 23-year-old has returned to Eintracht Braunschweig for a second spell, this time on loan until June 2021.
Commenting on his switch to Eintracht Braunschweig, Abdullahi said : "I'm very happy to be back at the club that started my career in Germany.
"I've always felt at home in Braunschweig and I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing the fans again soon. My goal for the season is to make them happy."
Sports director Peter Vollmann added : "Suleiman Abdullahi is a physically strong player who was rarely used at Union Berlin in his regular position.
"In addition to his high speed, we also expect quality in securing the ball. We think that he will quickly settle in Braunschweig again because he knows the environment and will bring his strengths to the field".
For the upcoming season, Abdullahi has been assigned the number 20 jersey at Eintracht Braunschweig.
