Spurs, Arsenal, Leicester, Brighton Face Stumbling Block To Sign Nigerian Winger Likened To Mané
Published: August 18, 2020Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that several English Premier League clubs are facing a stumbling block in their bid to sign promising Nigerian winger Kitan Aaron Jaiyeoba.
Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Leicester City and Brighton & Hove showed interest in signing the 1999-born player but a proposed deal will hit a snag because he does not have a British or European Union passport and has no caps for the Super Eagles.
Championship outfit Bristol City are also keeping tabs on Jaiyeoba but are unlikely to sign him because he wouldn't be eligible to play for them.
Jaiyeoba, nicknamed Kato, is currently studying for a degree at SGS College in Bristol whilst training full-time with ex-Leeds United manager and former Hull City winger David Hockaday.
The 21-year-old has been described as an extremely fast winger who can go past his markers with ease, causing a constant threat to the opposition.
"He is one of the quickest players I have seen with and without the ball, he can be playing in Europe's top clubs within 18 months, " David Hockaday said on Jaiyeoba.
He has been highly compared to Liverpool star Sadio Mane as he has a similar style, agility and explosive pace.
Jaiyeoba has played in showcase games against professional clubs in England including Queens Park Rangers, Reading and Nottingham Forest, where he caught the eye of the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
