Fenerbahce Interested In Signing 14-Goal Trabzonspor Striker Nwakaeme
Published: August 21, 2020Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce are exploring ways to sign former Super Eagles invitee Anthony Nwakaeme according to various reports in the Turkish press.
Internet Spor says the Yellow Canaries sporting director Emre Belözoğlu has opened contract talks with Nwakaeme's agent and he asked for more time to consider the offer from the Istanbul club.
Nwakaeme has a release clause of six million euros and he can decide to terminate his contract with Trabzonspor before expiration by paying his release clause.
The 31-year-old has a contract with the Turkish Cup winners until the end of the 2021-2022 season.
One of the most consistent Nigerian performers in Europe over the last three seasons, the striker had a direct hand in 25 goals (14 goals, 11 assists) in 43 appearances last term.
The former Hapoel Beer Sheva and Hapoel Raanana star has finished with double figures in goals and assists in each of the least four seasons.
