Bayer Leverkusen Eye Super Eagle Dennis As Replacement For Chelsea Transfer Target Havertz
Published: August 21, 2020
Bayer Leverkusen are the latest club linked with a possible move for Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Dennis in the summer transfer window.
According to Eurosport journalist Manu Lonjon via Twitter, the German Bundesliga club is looking for a replacement for Germany international Kai Havertz, who has been heavily linked with a transfer to Chelsea, and the Club Brugge star is their preferred candidate.
He has also claimed that Dennis has offers from Italian Serie A outfit Napoli and English Premier League new boys Leeds United.
With Havertz valued in the region of one hundred million euros by Bayer Leverkusen, the 1988 UEFA Cup winners have the financial muscle to compete with Napoli and Leeds United if it comes to a bidding war.
Club Brugge are resigned to losing the Super Eagle before the close of the transfer window and are looking at selling him for a fee of 25 million euros.
Dennis has won the Belgian First Division A title twice since he arrived at Club Brugge from Zorya Luhansk in 2017.
