Three Nigeria-Eligible Teenagers Including Juventus Defender Gozzi Named In Italy U20 Squad
Italy U20 national team coach Alberto Bollini has announced a 30-man roster for a training camp to be held at the CPO in Tirrenia from Sunday 30 August until Saturday 5 September, with three Nigeria-eligible players part of the group, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

Juventus central defender Paolo Gozzi Iweru, Hellas Verona midfielder Destiny Udogie and Atalanta midfielder Caleb Memeh Okoli have all been invited to the training camp.

The training camp has been arranged to help the Italians prepare for next month's European Championship qualifiers against Norway, Iceland and Slovenia which was earlier postponed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Iweru, 19, who has made his first team debut for Serie A champions Juventus has racked up more than 40 appearances for Italy's youth teams and was one of the stars of the 2018 U17 EURO held in England.

The 19-year-old Okoli is knocking on Hellas Verona first team door, making the bench for Serie A matches on five occasions.

The youngest of the trio at seventeen, Udogie was an influential member of the Italian squad that reached the quarterfinals of last year's FIFA U17 World Cup in Brazil.

Iweru, Okoli and Udogie were born in Torino, Vicenza and Verona respectively, making them eligible to play international football for the European powerhouse.
