Sheffield United Continue To Push For Signing Of Super Eagles Striker
Published: September 01, 2020
Premier League club Sheffield United remain interested in signing Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Dennis, according to reports emanating from the English press.
The Star says Sheffield United are in the market for offensive reinforcements, with Emmanuel Dennis on a list of four players being targeted, the others being Reading's Yakou Meite, Liverpool's Rhian Brewster and West Brom's Oliver Burke.
The Blades are short on striking options ahead of their pre-season friendly against Derby County due to Callum Robinson and David McGoldrick's commitments with the Republic of Ireland national team while Oli McBurnie is unavailable for selection due to injury.
Though Dennis is an important player for Club Brugge, the Belgian champions are willing to listen to offers for the Nigerian who is valued at more than 20 million euros.
Dennis impressed as Club Brugge registered their second away win of the new season, setting up the opening goal scored by Hans Vanaken in a 2-1 victory vs Racing Genk on Sunday.
The 22-year-old has been linked with possible moves to top-flight teams in Germany, Italy and Spain this summer.
