Official : Ex-Flying Eagles Star Osuchukwu Joins Idowu At Russian Club Khimki
Published: September 03, 2020
With a statement on their official website, Belarusian Premier League side Rukh Brest have announced that they have reached an agreement with Khimki on the transfer of Chidi Osuchukwu to the Russian club.
A member of the Flying Eagles squad to the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup in Turkey, Osuchukwu becomes the second Nigerian player signed by the Russian Premier League newcomers in the summer transfer window, after Super Eagles defender Bryan Idowu.
The central midfielder joined Rukh Brest in the winter transfer market after spells with Sporting Braga, Dynamo Brest and previously played for Dolphin FC in his homeland.
"I can say that it was a very good time for me. I like how I spent these six months at Rukh. It was very comfortable, I felt love and support. In general, it was great," Osuchukwu said.
"Today I am sad that I am leaving Rukh I will remember all the good moments that I had here. You know, every player always wants to get stronger. I think it's time for me to take a step forward.
"I want to thank everyone here for their love and support, both fans and players. This team will forever remain in my heart. Rukh has become my home."
Osuchukwu, 26, played eleven matches for Rukh Brest in the Belarusian top-flight and provided one assist.
