Leicester City New Signing Looking Forward To Catching Up With Ex-Defensive Partner Ndidi
Published: September 04, 2020Leicester City have announced the signing of Belgium international fullback Timothy Castagne from Italian Serie A outfit Atalanta on a five-year deal.
The 24-year-old Castagne made his professional debut for Racing Genk in September 2014, four months before Wilfred Ndidi made his competitive debut for the Belgian First Division A side.
In the early part of his career with Racing Genk, Ndidi used to be a fullback and played alongside Castagne in defence., before the Nigeria international was moved to a holding midfield role for the 2015-2016 season.
Castagne has revealed that he is looking forward to a catch up with his former teammate at Genk, Ndidi after international duty with the Belgium national team.
"I've heard a lot. We (Atalanta) played also in the stadium already last year so it's nice. I had a preview, but obviously with Youri and Dennis, we talked a bit, so I know a few things," Castagne told Leicester City's official website.
"It's going to be a lot easier [because of that]. I know also Ndidi from our time in Genk, so it's going to be nice, as well, to see him again. Of course, it's going to be way easier for me."
