Done Deal : Porto's Nigeria National Teamer Awaziem Joins Boavista On Undisclosed Terms
Published: September 05, 2020Through their official Facebook page, Portuguese Primeira Liga side Boavista have announced the signing of Nigeria national teamer Chidozie Awaziem from Porto.
The Panthers have not disclosed whether the deal is an outright acquisition or a season-long loan move.
The central defender has two years to run on his contract with Portuguese champions FC Porto.
Last season, Awaziem was loaned out to CD Leganes, for whom he played 29 matches in all competitions, logging 2,293 minutes.
The 23-year-old has also been farmed out on loan to Nantes in France and Turkish club Rizespor after failing to force his way into Porto's starting lineup.
He has featured in fifteen first team games for Porto, scoring one goal, and played 62 games for Porto B with two goals to his name.
Awaziem was a member of the Super Eagles squad to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, going the distance in five matches but missed the third place playoff due to suspension.
