Allnigeriasoccer.com's round-up of Nigerian players that were in action for their respective clubs in the second round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, September 16.

The 18-year-old center forward Caleb Chukwuemeka went the distance on his full debut for Northampton Town as they fell to a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Bristol City at Ashton Gate.

Chris Martins gave the Robins the lead at the break, then Kasey Palmer doubled the advantage in the 48th minute, before Antoine Semenyo and Palmer added more gloss to the scoreline in the final eight minutes.

At Elland Road, summer signing Josh Emmanuel was an unused substitute for Hull City who beat Leeds United on penalties after a 1-1 draw at the end of ninety minutes. 

Mallik Wilks saw his fifth minute goal cancelled out by Ezgjan Alioski in the 90th minute.

Former Arsenal schoolboy Nathan Tella lasted 84 minutes on his full debut for Southampton as they were beaten 2-0 by Championship side Brentford at St. Mary's Stadium.

The Bees advanced to the next round thanks to first half goals from Christian Noergaard and Joshua Dasilva.
