Napoli Hoping To Beat Atalanta, Genoa To Signing Of Italian-Born Ex-Burnley Center Back Chima
Published: September 17, 2020
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that Napoli are hoping to beat two other Italian Serie A clubs to the signing of former Burnley center back Udoka Chima.
The Blues have firmed up their interest in the Italian-born teenager by inviting him for trials with a view to a possible transfer in the summer transfer window.
Chima put himself in the shop window after starring in a game that was live-streamed to the whole world and was watched by a couple of Italian scouts.
Atalanta and Genoa have made contact with the player's entourage but he's heading to Napoli first because they made the first approach.
Chima will fly to Naples via Turin on Friday, September 18 and will train with Napoli's Primavera team upon his arrival in the city.
It is believed that he was released by Burnley at the end of last season because there was another exciting youngster ahead of him in the pecking order of center backs and was not assured of game time for the 2020-2021 season.
