'He's One For The Future' - Arsenal Winger Chooses Miguel Azeez As 'The Next Big Thing'
Published: September 20, 2020
England U21 international Reiss Nelson reckons that Arsenal Academy star of Nigerian and Spanish descent Miguel Azeez has a bright future ahead of him, and tipped the central midfielder to be the next big thing in English youth football.
Azeez has been on the books of Arsenal since the age of five and rose through the ranks before he was handed his unofficial debut for the first team in their pre-season win against MK Dons on August 25.
Blessed with a wide range of passing, ability to strike the ball from distance and a free-kick specialist, Azeez broke into Arsenal's U23 team at the age of seventeen.
Speaking to Arsenal's matchday programme before the visit of West Ham, Nelson stated when asked to name the next big thing in English youth football : "To be fair, I really rate all of the young English talent coming up, but I'm going to say Miguel Azeez.
"I've seen the way that he trains and he trains with his heart, and that's something a lot of players don't have when they're at that age,
"Some young players just want to go through the motions when they play with the first team but he wants the ball , he wants to play and he's always looking up. He's one for the future."

An England U18 international, Azeez debuted for Arsenal in the EFL Trophy, Premier League 2 and Premier League International Cup last season.
