Ndidi Is A better CB Than Maguire, Lindelof Combined' - Fans Praise Leicester Emergency Center Back
Published: September 20, 2020
Leicester City romped to a 4-2 victory over Burnley in their Premier League clash at the King Power Stadium on Sunday evening, with Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi yet again impressing in an unnatural position for his side.
The Foxes have had to do with crisis in defence with Johnny Evans suspended, while Filip Benkovic and Ricardo Pereira were ruled out due to injury, but thankfully the Nigerian have hardly put a foot wrong since he started his stint at the rear.
Below are some of the reactions from fans worldwide on his astute showing against the Clarets,
@WTFox1884: There's an argument for Maddison not starting when fully fit at the moment with how well Praet, Tielemans and Mendy have been playing. It's not a long term solution but If Ndidi wasn't such a good DM I reckon Evans would struggle to get back in the starting XI over him atm. #lcfc
@ZydneeMac: Even thou played out of position, Ndidi is a better CB more than Maguire & Lindelof combined. #LEIBUR #EPL #PremierLeague
@AA_jr: Ndidi and good tackle 🤝👏🏾👏🏾
@dubsoulrebel: Interesting watching Ndidi do the same for Leicester for the first two games due to their centre back injuries. Another very good tackler of the ball
@AdamSwannRacing: Ndidi is a better CB than Harry Maguire 😂😂
@DurojaiyeJnr: Ndidi is gradually becoming a CB right in front of our eyes
@kemekhai: Ndidi's consistency is a proof that he's a natural baller.
@FaggeKhalifa: ndidi is massively underrated
For the second game running, the Super Eagle tucked into a back four setup, alongside çaglar Söyüncü and proved influential as his team secured the win.
