Victor Moses To Sign New Deal With Chelsea Before Sixth Loan Move
Published: October 11, 2020
2013 Africa Cup of Nations-winning winger Victor Moses will reportedly sign a new contract with Chelsea before joining Russian Premier League outfit Spartak Moscow in the coming days.
The fact that a loan move with an option to buy is being mooted for the versatile winger rather than a permanent switch to Spartak Moscow gives credence to the reports as his current contract with Chelsea runs out in June 2021.
According to Goal.com's Nizaar Kinsella, Moses will agree on a one-year extension to protect Chelsea's investment and allow the club to potentially earn a transfer fee next summer.
Spartak Moscow will be his sixth loan club following stints at Liverpool, Stoke City, West Ham, Fenerbahce and Inter Milan.
Antonio Conte was interested in bringing Moses back to Inter Milan before the close of the summer transfer window in Italy but the Nerazzurri owners did not give the green light to the deal.
The ex-Super Eagles star has been training with Chelsea's loan army since the start of the season and impressed in a 1-1 draw with AFC Wimbledon last month, scoring the Blues equaliser in the 23rd minute.
