With a statement on their official website, English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur have announced that Nigerian goalkeeper Joshua Oluwayemi has been loaned out to National League club Maidenhead United.
The 2001-born glovesman will spend time at the Magpies until January 2021.
Oluwayemi, who comes from a family of goalkeepers, is expected to get his first taste of senior football during his loan spell with Maidenhead United.
His younger brother Tobi Oluwayemi wears the colours of Glasgow Celtic's U18 team while his father Abiodun Ogunyemi kept goal for his school team back in Nigeria before relocating to the United Kingdom.
Although he has been capped by England at U15 and U16 levels, Joshua Oluwayemi is open to representing the Nigeria youth teams, the Flying Eagles in particular.
"I have had couple of Nigerian people after games. I saw Kanu one time,
he was at one of our games, he was talking to my dad, but not really
like that," Oluwayemi said in an interview in June.
"Definitely I'll be looking at Nigeria but my options are open."
