Felix Nmecha Scores; Sodje Assists As Man City Youth Teams Record Wins
Manchester City U18 and U23 teams registered wins in league matches on Saturday, October 24, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

In a game involving five players of Nigerian descent at the Academy Stadium in Manchester, the Citizens came from behind to thrash Arsenal 4-1 in a Premier League 2 fixture, with Felix Nmecha getting on the scoresheet in the 24th minute.

Miguel Azeez, Ryan Alebiosu, Tim Akinola and Folarin Balogun started for the Gunners.

Arsenal goalkeeper Karl Hein was shown a red card in the 8th minute for fouling Nmecha as he raced through on goal.

In an U18 Premier League North match at Newcastle United Football Academy, Manchester City extended their unbeaten start to the new season as they beat the Magpies 1-0.

Oscar Bobb scored the all-important goal five minutes into the second half, assisted by the club's top scorer with six goals in six, Tai Sodje.

Tai, nephew of former Super Eagles defender Sam Sodje, is in contention to make his debut in the FA Youth Cup when Manchester City face Blackburn Rovers in the semifinal of the 2019-2020 competition on Friday, October 30.
