Cardiff City Coach Delighted Liverpool Loanee Ojo Got On The Scoresheet Again
Published: October 25, 2020
Liverpool-owned winger Sheyi Ojo rescued a valuable point for Cardiff City as they secured a 1-1 draw against Chuba Akpom's Middlesbrough FC at the Cardiff City Stadium in a Championship clash on Saturday, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The Bluebirds had to come from behind after George Saville scored with a lovely glancing header in the 36th minute.
Twenty minutes from time, Ojo equalised as he diverted in at close range after a ball was headed towards goal.
Having fired blanks in his first four games for the Bluebirds, the 2017 England U20 World Cup-winning winger has registered his name on the scoresheet twice in his last three games, something which pleased manager Neil Harris.
Speaking to the media post-match, Harris said : "I’m pleased again that Joel Bagan has got another ninety minutes under his belt, and that Sheyi Ojo has got on the scoresheet again.
"There was some really good football at times, especially to create the chances we did. We’re four games unbeaten, and came from behind again".
Ojo has been loaned out by Liverpool to a sixth club after previous stints at Wigan Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Fulham, Reims and Glasgow Rangers.
