Red-Hot Striker Fiabema Scores Game-Winner As Chelsea Beat Man Utd In FA Youth Cup
Published: October 30, 2020
Bryan Fiabema continued his rich vein of form by scoring the match-winning goal as Chelsea beat Manchester United 1-0 at St George's Park to qualify for the final of the 2019-2020 FA Youth Cup, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The Norway youth international of Nigerian descent and Faustino Anjorin started for Chelsea while Shola Shoretire was named in Manchester United's starting team.
Chelsea played with a lot of energy in the opening minutes and there was an opportunity for Livramento to break the deadlock but he hit the woodwork after meeting a cross from Fiabema.
Anjorin, who captained the Chelsea side, entered the referee's notebook for a foul on Mejbri at minute 31.
Anthony Elanga came close to scoring for Manchester United just before the end of the first half but his bicycle kick came off the bar.
Chelsea found the breakthrough they were looking for four minutes into the second half when Fiabema blasted the ball into the roof of the net, scoring for the fourth consecutive game in the process.
The former Tromso teen sensation was on target against Arsenal, Derby County and Liverpool in the Premier League 2.
Chelsea will face Manchester City in the final of the FA Youth Cup on Monday, November 2.
