'It Was A Great Strike' - Fulham Coach Attributes Ola Aina's Goal To Taking More Risks
Published: November 03, 2020
Fulham coach Scott Parker has attributed Ola Aina's goal against West Brom to his team taking more risks within and near the penalty area.
Thirty minutes in at Craven Cottage, the right-back doubled Fulham's advantage with a wonderful strike into the top corner - his first goal in the Premier League in his seventh appearance.
Predominantly right-footed, Aina has been working on his weaker left foot and got the reward for the practice he has put in with a sensational thunderbolt from just outside the box.
Speaking post-match, Parker told Fulham's official website : "It was a great strike. We might have to take risks.
"We’re going to have to take risks in or around the box and Ola did that and it’s flown into the top corner.
"Anyone watching us with an open mind will see we have a bit of quality. We had some lovely bits in both halves."
Following their first win of the new season, Fulham are 17th in the 20-team table ahead of the London derby with West Ham United on Saturday.
