Confirmed : MLS Club Chicago Fire Acquire 20-Year-Old Nigerian-Born Striker Pending Medical

Through a statement on their official website, Major League Soccer club Chicago Fire have announced the acquisition of 20-year-old Nigerian-born striker Chinonso Offor., pending a medical and the receipt of his International Transfer Certificate and P1 Visa.
Offor is Chicago Fire's first signing of the offseason and has joined the club from Latvian club FK Rīgas Futbola Skola, for whom he scored 6 goals in 17 appearances.
He is contracted to Chicago Fire until the end of the 2023 with a club option for 2024 and will occupy an international roster spot.
Prior to his move to FK Rīgas Futbola Skola in July 2019, he turned out for BFC Daugavpils and netted 10 goals in 23 games during his time with the club.
"We are very pleased to welcome Chinonso to the Fire family, " Chicago Fire FC Sporting Director Georg Heitz said.
"His signing is the latest example of our intention to add promising young players to the roster.
"With his skillset, we believe that Chinonso will complement our current attacking players very well and be a key contributor to the team."
Offor featured off the bench against Partizan Belgrade in the first qualifying round of the 2020-2021 Europa League.
