Ex-Arsenal Midfielder Nwakali Needs More Minutes To Prove Himself At Huesca
Published: November 20, 2020
Since joining SD Huesca from Arsenal in September 2019, Kelechi Nwakali has struggled to break into the first team.
He started only one match for them last season as they clinched promotion to La Liga, he made 4 appearances off the bench also accumulating a total of 148 minutes only (that is not even up to 2 full matches).
This season, he hasn't fared better starting only in the match against Real Madrid, a match that they obviously had no hope of winning and still played in central midfield.
The signs point to his coach not trusting him to make a difference and with him being played in central midfield makes it even difficult for him to prove his manager wrong.
Huesca visit Osasuna this night as they look to climb out of relegation and are yet to win any game this season, recording 6 draws and 3 losses in 9 matches.
Nwakali would most likely start from the bench but let's hope the 2015 U17 World Cup Best Player would get enough time to prove he has what it takes to succeed at Huesca.

He has made thee appearances off the bench with barely any time left to make an impact.
He has been completely left out of the squad on four occasions largely as a result of health issues and also left on the bench in a 2-2 draw against Real Valladolid.
