'Iwobi At RWB Reminds Me Of Victor Moses' - Everton, Super Eagles Fans Hail Display Of Nigerian
Published: November 22, 2020
Everton returned to winning ways after suffering three consecutive defeats in the English Premier League by beating Fulham 3-2 at Craven Cottage on Sunday afternoon.
The Toffees were 3-1 up at half time, Dominic Calvert-Lewin with a brace and an additional tally from Abdoulaye Doucoure while Bobby Reid momentarily restored parity for the Cottagers.
In the 68th minute, Ivan Cavaleiro fluffed an opportunity for Fulham to get back in the game when he missed a spot kick but there was a quick response as Chelsea loanee Ruben Loftus-Cheek scored his first Fulham goal via a deflection.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti's tactical masterstroke to deploy Alex Iwobi as a right wing-back paid off as the Nigeria international put in one of his best displays in an Everton shirt and was involved in the build-up to the second goal.
Everton and Nigerian fans were impressed by the performance of Iwobi, especially in the first half, and took to Twitter to praise the number 17.

@TheBiigJay : "Just imagine the uproar if ever Gernot Rohr decides to field Alex Iwobi as a wing-back for @NGSuperEagles. The question is: does he have the technical onion or power to throw such a curve ball?"
