'Moses Plays Quite Well' - Russian Pundit Defends Spartak's Signing Of Chelsea Winger
Published: November 23, 2020Russian football pundit Ilya Kazakov has defended the signing of Victor Moses by Spartak Moscow in the summer transfer window.
The former Nigeria international joined the Muscovites on loan for the remainder of the season with an option to buy set at five million euros included in the deal.
The arrivals of Moses and two other players in Oston Urunov and Aleksandr Kokorin from Ufa and Zenit St. Petersburg respectively have been criticized in some quarters but Kazakov has a different opinion, saying they are cost-effective signings.
In quotes carried by Sport Express, the TV commentator said : "The club has been criticized for acquiring Oston Urunov, Victor Moses and Kokorin. But little money has been spent on them.
"At the same time, Moses plays quite well. It can be seen that this is a high-level footballer. As for Kokorin, the problems most likely lie in the field of psychology. Much is expected of him.
"Look at CSKA coming in first, having bought Adolfo Gaich, Bruno Fuchs and Chidera Ejuke . It is even difficult to imagine what they would say about Spartak if it strengthened for a lot of money with these three."

Spartak Moscow have picked up two wins, two draws and suffered one loss against Rostov at the end of last month since Moses joined the capital club.
