Super Eagles Rising Star Sanusi On Target For Porto In Seven-Goal Thriller
Published: December 06, 2020
Porto and CD Tondela produced a seven-goal thriller at the Estádio
do Dragão on Saturday night, with the Portuguese champions beating their
opponents by the odd goal.
Nigeria
international Zaidu Sanusi opened his account for Porto in the Primeira
Liga when he broke the deadlock with a left-footed strike from inside
the box in the fourth minute after a swift counter-attacking move.
Sanusi's other goal for the Blue and Whites was against Marseille in the Champions League eleven days ago.
Mario
González and Rafael Barbosa got on the scoresheet to put the visitors
2-1 up but Moussa Marega's goal ensured it was level at the break.
In
the second half, Porto led 4-2 thanks to goals from Marega and Taremi,
before Mario González pulled a goal back to make the last sixteen
minutes uncomfortable for Porto.
In his 12th
appearance across all competitions for Porto, Sanusi put in a full shift
- the eighth time he has gone the distance this season.
Up next for Sanusi and his teammates, they face Olympiakos in the Champions League on Wednesday, December 9.
