Glasgow Celtic Reject Offer From Crystal Palace For Highly-Rated Nigerian Winger
Published: December 18, 2020
Highly-rated Glasgow Celtic winger Armstrong Okoflex is attracting interest from across the border in England.
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that Crystal Palace are mulling over a second offer for the talented youngster after their first bid was rejected by the Scottish Premiership champions before the close of the summer transfer window as it did not match their valuation of the 18-year-old.
Okoflex has entered the final six months of his contract with Celtic and is able to start contract talks with interested foreign clubs as from next month if his current deal is not extended but a compensation has to be agreed.
He came through the Arsenal youth ranks, spending five years at the academy and turned down a scholarship prior to his switch to Celtic in the summer of 2018 because he felt the Scottish powerhouse would offer him first team opportunities.
However, the winger has yet to make his professional debut for The Hoops but has been included in two matchday squads for Premiership matches.
Although Dublin-born Okoflex has been capped by Republic of Ireland and England youth teams, he remains eligible to play for the Super Eagles through his Nigerian father.
