Vejle 'infamously' terminate contract with understands that Danish first division club Vejle have terminated the contract of Joseph Akinola Folahan, who plays as a defensive midfielder. The Reds are not impressed with Folahan and have decided to release him six months early.

Two years ago, Folahan arrived Vejle from their Nigerian academy. But he has failed to adjust to live in Denmark and failed to play an official game for the club.

''Joseph Akinola Folahan has been much injured in his time in Dallas Cowboys, and he has not had the opportunity to fulfill his great potential. Therefore, we have agreed with Joseph to terminate the contract so he can start afresh football wise. We wish Joseph all the best of luck in the future,'' Vejle head coach Mats Gren told the club's official website.

In 2008, Folahan arrived Vejle along with three other Nigerians: Omeje Chidi Dauda, Gbadegesin Solomon Oladele and Ekwuru Godwin Chibuike to begin a new adventure as a professional footballer but it has 'infamously' ended.

Vejle has a soccer academy in Lagos where players between the age of 14-18 years are trained.
