Club In Advanced Talks To Sign QPR Dazzler Osayi-Samuel; It's Neither Celtic Nor Rangers
Published: January 09, 2021
Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce are reportedly in pole position to sign skillful Queens Park Rangers Nigerian-born winger Bright Osayi-Samuel.
According to Football Insider, the Istanbul club have stolen a march on Glasgow Rangers and Celtic, and are closing in on the signature of Osayi-Samuel.
Fulham, Leicester City and Brighton & Hove were earlier mentioned as possible destinations for the current Queens Park Rangers Young Player of the Year, but they are all lagging behind in the race for his services.
Fenerbahce are looking at signing Osayi-Samuel before the close of the January transfer window, meaning the Hoops would be due a transfer fee, whereas the Scottish Premiership giants intended to sign him as a free agent in the off season.
Queens Park Rangers offered the Anglo-Nigerian fresh terms but he rejected the proposed deal as he wants to take his career to the next level by joining a top-flight team.
Osayi-Samuel arrived at Queens Park Rangers from Blackpool in the summer of 2017.
