'It's Not Good' - Onuachu Explains Why He's Disappointed Despite Scoring 19th League Goal
Published: January 10, 2021
Looking at the bigger picture, Paul Onuachu has admitted that he was disappointed that an overconfident Racing Genk side were beaten 2-1 by Kortrijk on Saturday evening, a result that leaves them second in the table.
Four minutes before half time, the Nigeria national teamer got on the scoresheet - his nineteenth league goal this term - and set a new personal record for goals in a single-season.
But a brace from Habib Gueye condemned Racing Genk to defeat, with Onuachu's goal counting for nothing.
"If you score and lose, it's not good. Then you are disappointed," Onuachu told Radio 1.
"We started the second half too weak. Everyone looked at each other and we stopped walking. We played with too little energy. Kortrijk did that with good pressing. ”
"What the trainer said? That we have to be better on the ball and play with more effort."
